DFF is joining forces with AFI FEST in 2008 and will coordinate dates to the best advantage of all participants. DFF is a Community Sponsor and a Cultural Sponsor of AFI FEST 2008. Not only do we inspire and bring people together to create business, we also strive to give back to our stakeholders. Danish Film Fest is presented by the non-profit organization Scandinavian American Arts Foundation .
Our Vision is to be the best film fest for the Danish-American film industry.
Our Mission is to promote Contemporary Danish film talent and support upcoming Danish and American film talent. Furthermore we want to play a role in greening the film industry.
Our Purpose is to
- To promote Denmark as a responsible country that produces films of high quality.
- To create an opportunity for Danish filmmakers to be exposed in Hollywood, Los Angeles and USA and thereby promote Denmark and Danish films.
- To involve and inspire film students from both Denmark and USA in an interactive way.

DKFF reserves the right to make changes based on funding.
In the future our goal is to expand our activities to take place throughout the year as opposed to concentrating them during one week in LA. We intend to create a Danish Film Festival umbrella under which we will present and co-host Danish films in various contexts and at various existing film festival in the US.
